Dynamical system theory is interested in the evolution of systems. It tries to understand the processes in motion and limitation (stability) of systems. Chaos in dynamics is one of the scientific revolutions of the twentieth century, that deepened our understanding of the nature of unpredictability. In this course, we will discuss the fundamentals of these theories.
Topics covered: Basics of ODEs, Linear systems, Stability of equilibria and periodic orbits, Lyapunov functions, Introduction to ergodic theory, Introduction to chaos theory, Introduction to bifurcation theory
